The story
How the project idea was born
During a Kid Im Atid Tov meeting with a municipal youth council, it stood out that the youth have lack of knowledge about body image and proper nutrition.
A painful issue raised by the youth was the death of their girlfriend due to improper diet.
Kid Im Atid Tov decided to take up the gauntlet and invest in a project that would teach them a healthy lifestyle.
What is the project
The project assimilates the idea: "a healthy mind in a healthy body" among male and female students, in the belief that "everyone can – everyone succeeds."
The program has 4 courses of action

The program has 4 courses of action:
- Training of health trustees.
- Empowering health trustees and strengthening there believe that each child's belief in his or her own success and personal abilities.
- Turning health trustees into agents of change among their parents and communities, with the goal of creating change and community and non-school involvment.
- Holding workshops for implementing the program.

Encouraging students to prepare homemade food by simple and easy means
Comparing the components and nutritional values of industrial chickpeas versus homemade chickpeas
Raising awareness for a healthy and nutritious meal at school
Exposing students to a variety of nutritious and healthy spreads that can be incorporated into a sandwich
Familiarity with the legume family, which is rich in protein and complex carbohydrates
The project includes
Experiential content and activities on various topics: sensible nutrition, nutritional labeling and smart shopping, physical activity, self-image, time management and more.
During the training, the health leaders create tools that will assist them in their role as agents of change and will be used to convey the content to the other students and to assimilate a healthy lifestyle in the school and community.
We believe that building a positive self-perception will help students to be whole, healthier and happier and reach high achievements in various areas of life, thus becoming adults with a high sense of self-worth and being a positive part of society.
